The Yang lab studies the molecular mechanisms underlying hereditary retinal degeneration and hearing loss. The lab is also striving to develop treatments for these diseases. The Yang Laboratory was awarded an R01supplement to purchase a Leica SP8 lightning confocal microscope in 2019.

Dr. Jun Yang was awarded an NIH R21 grant and an International Retinal Research Foundation grant in 2019.
